Sunset Proposal in Loose Park

Eric drops the knee

I've been friends with Eric for several years now. This guys expression is either a smile or a sincere look as he is always caring for those around him. Just ask anyone he knows. In fact, just ask Kaitlin. When Eric first met her, we all heard about it. This guys heart exploded for this woman and for it all to come down to this scene in the park, it was pretty special. As you can see from their expressions, they are genuine people. They truly care for each other and respect each other immensly. We are enthralled for these two and their story. Its sweet, its tender, and its the beginning of something incredible.

A Lovely Renewal at Traditions Golf Course in Warrensburg

They came back! They did it. After a few busy years building their life, they returned to their hometown and put it in stone - the celebration and wedding they promised they would have with their friends and family. The evening was gorgeous with their parents and son in attendance in renewing their vows and love for each other. It was a repeat in practice but a renewal of heart and commitment to each other. We LOVED this. A reformation of mind and heart in connecting with your spouse. We share this enthusiasm. To have the same perspective as our couples REALLY is why we do this. Nothing is better than a tender heart for your spouse.

Laced with white and class from top to bottom. Like a typical bride, Jessica had months to plan and organize her wedding. She picked out the dress, accessories, her bridesmaids attire, the ceremony and reception decor - every last detail. When it came to the point of it all coming together, it was a beautiful day and one that represented her life with her little boy and new life. At the end of the day, we share with Jessica the gratitude in working with such wonderful people and the sincerity in being a part of their day. Its the beauty and glitter and glam, and its also the people and memories. We treasure our brides!!

Tree-Lined Proposal with Matt+Claire

We did it again! Love is in the air! We were recently approached for another proposal, this year. Matt is clearly head over heels for his lady and wanted their special moment captured forever. Upon his inquiry, Matt was incredibly ambitious about sending text messages and images to make sure that every detail of his proposal would be perfect for Claire. Only the best for his perfect soul mate! The spark between these two was so genuine that, not only did she trust his leading her, blind-folded, to his string-lit spot, but these two practically posed themselves! Watch the magic and surprise unfold in the images below!

Elegant Wedding held in Eventful at Locust Grove

This bride and groom are about as genuine as a couple can get. These two have fought and sacrificed, both individually but also as a united force, to ensure a future together. Modern technology allowed these two to connect, initially. However, it was only through the will and determination of their souls' desires to love one another that they beat the odds and "met half-way" to officially commit and unite their lives.

In listening to their touching, hand-written vows, one would learn that Kelsey loves Jermaine almost as much as she loves cheese (he he). One would have also gathered that social media allowed a few innocent glances to evolve into everlasting friendship and a rock solid devotion to each other!

From our first meeting with them to our reflection of their wedding day, we feel extremely blessed to have witnessed their commitment and "never quit" teamwork. What an emotional ascension to have been able to laugh, smile and cry tears of joy with this beautiful couple. We're certain that this is the beginning of a beautiful journey for the Bostens!

Engagement for the whole family at Nelson-Atkins Museum

Everyone can agree that a family together is all that matters. Jamie and Jeff are beginning a new chapter in life together and little Landon is glowing with the idea of family. With their engagement to celebrate, they wanted to include Landon to celebrate their new family. You can tell how he feels in the pictures. These sweet people have a lot to celebrate and we are grateful to be have been a part of it!

Charasmatic Couple in a Beautiful Meadowview Garden Wedding

Both Phillip and Ashley are accomplished people. Both achieved a house and established their ideal careers before merging their individual lives into one. Both intellectual and charismatic people, Phillip and Ashley's love for each other proved that their paths completed separately just were not nearly as beautiful as the path they would forge together. Isn't that how love works? It harmonizes and orchestrates two lives more beautifully than we can plan or imagine. What a blessing that they have each other to share such determination.

Our first meeting with these two was enlightening! They knew what they wanted and had direct and detailed questions about how we worked with each other and our brides. We were concerned about performing for this couple but impressed and encouraged for the challenge of providing exactly what they had envisioned for their day! As for us, we couldn't image a more beautiful day and the magic in their connection was a sight to see.

Proposal at Nelson-Atkins Museum

Marina + Reese | Nelson-Atkins Museum

Another smooth surprise

My man Reese made early plans to drop the knee to his best friend and girlfriend - Marina. The plans could not be more clear - surprise the heck out of Marina with a surreal moment when she realizes Reese is asking for her hand in eternity.

Reese bought the ring early and wanted a pic of the jewelry-stunner to be on my camera while we were shooting images for Marina's "birthday". The idea that Reese was giving Marina birthday pictures of her and her man speaks a lot about these two. They both want images of their relationship. They both want to kick-off their new encounter in a stellar way with each other. The plan that it was her "birthday" was, however, a disguise. After nearly losing that surprise from unfortunate events, we decided to still go for it. There was concern that the surprise wouldn't be as "legendary" as hoped for, but the realization that he was proposing kept priority and significance in his mind.

While taking a few shots under the plan of shooting for her "birthday", I asked her to look at a few I had taken to make her aware of something. She walks up to my camera as Reese maneuvers around in the perfect knee-dropping location. She notices instantly that the image I'm showing her on the back of the screen is a picture of her new engagement ring and suddenly fell into an emotional *gasp*! She turns around to a smiley Reese awaiting for her hand to place this stunning piece of jewelry on. This kind of special moment was not only witnessed by us, but by a group of teenage girls standing by us. An astounding "Aw!!" was heard as Reese quietly spoke his heart to Marina.

We - people of the camera - are in a unique situation to capture such moments. These times will be with them throughout their lives and will be said as bedtime stories to the children of their families. We are thankful.
